Why Screen for Reading Difficulties like Dyslexia?

Learn about the latest research on screening and early interventions as informed by neuroscience and longitudinal research on reading and dyslexia. DCIDA & DDMD are partnering to bring the latest research to Maryland educators, policymakers and parents!

Date: Saturday, December 8, 2018

Location: University of Maryland, College Park, 9am-3pm (breakfast and lunch included)

Registration: DDMD members may register under the school personnel category for a fee of $75; you will be asked to confirm that you are a member of DDMD when you check in the day of the event.

Who Should Attend?

Please invite elected officials, education policy makers, teachers, school psychologists, speech language pathologists, Board of Education members, pediatricians, education professors, reading specialists, special educators, principals, Superintendents, ELA Supervisors, Special Education Directors, students and of course, parents!

Screening and early intervention is a prevention model for reading and relies upon evidence based interventions for ALL students.
